Explanation

も marks that the noun is added to something already mentioned: かれも がくせいです “he is a student too”. It replaces は, が or を (never stacks with them). Doubled, も…も means “both… and…”: ねこも いぬも すきです “I like both cats and dogs”.

Examples

I am a student. He is a student too.

I drink both coffee and tea.
