[Nom / proposition neutre] + どころか
Explanation
どころか denies an expectation and replaces it with something stronger or opposite: “far from apologising, she got angry”. It can also mean “let alone” (not even the easy thing).
Examples
彼女は あやまる どころか、おこって しまった。
Far from apologising, she got angry.
かんじ どころか、ひらがなも 読めない。
Let alone kanji, he can't even read hiragana.
