Structure
V-た + り、V-た + り + する
Explanation
Form the past た, add り, and close the list with する: 読んだり、聞いたり します “I do things like reading and listening”. Unlike the て form chain (which is sequential and complete), たり gives examples among others, in no particular order. Only する carries the tense: 〜たり しました (past).
Examples
にちようびは 本を 読んだり、おんがくを 聞いたり します。
On Sundays I do things like reading books and listening to music.
やすみの 日は かいものを したり、えいがを 見たり します。
On my days off I go shopping, watch movies, and so on.
